Company Profile
De Vries Recycling is specialized in EPS recycling (Expanded Polystyreen), also called tempex.

The company started in 1995 because there was a need of processing EPS on Urk. Many fish-processing companies use EPS boxes to pack their fish for transport. The boxes are ment to used only once. After recycling the EPS material can be used for other purposes. Par exemple toys. De Vries Recycling protects the environment by preventing difficult biodistructable material to be dumped on the landfill site.

After collecting D.V.R. crunches the boxes and stores the remains in a silo. The crunched EPS are pressed in bloks from 50 to 80 kilo by a specially engineered machine. D.V.R. exports the final product to Southeast Asia. Where they use the raw material for new products.

Besides recycling EPS D.V.R. also recycle old paper, cardboard and plastics. These materials are pressed in a waste paper baling press in bloks around the 500 kilo. The bloks are also exported to Southeast Asia to serve as raw material for new products.
